My average GPG is only 7.5. :( I am trying for the 100 goals by each offensive player. 2/4 done. One has 67, other has... I dunno. Like 15.

Meh, I'm finding it easier to score. XD I mean, now I'm getting 5-0 to 7-0, and last year I was lucky to get a single point.

Any tips on how to improve my YYB (not)skillz?

I actually found the guide here to be the best one out there. Other than that I can only say: practice, practice, practice.

well, in the practice rounds there was that easy way to get goals in between the net and wall. but thats gone now... that threw me off in my first few games

but, i think it might have. i've only gotten one 15-0 game so far
usually im getting like 10-0 (GPG is actually exactly 10 right now)
i just cant score once the darigans and mutants start coming out. (and for some reason im rly bad with fireballs in like the last minute of the game. go figure....)

That's exactly my GPG too. And I've had only one 15-0 so far too. I just tried the practice game here on the site and I have none of the problems I've had this year what so ever.
As for the faerie yooyus, I have been competing against 3+1 teams these two days so I couldn't go straight through the middle maybe that's it.

My stats are in the stats topic I believe.

Right now? i've got a GPG of 12.blah.

I think our loss to KL though was cause by the belief in the rigged theory (which is CLEARLY busted thanks to LD's two consecutive 3rds) caused laziness and apathy because players thought they'd win no matter what. guess they were wrong xD

You know I keep forgetting to figure the speed of my moniter. I have high speed (and that's the only reason why I can play on NP in the first place), but my moniter isn't a flat screen so that probably affects the speed. I am finding YYB a bit more of a challenge this year too. I think the players on the opposite team are better this year. What do you guys think? I am trying to be consistant in what I am playing.

How do freeloaders bring a team down anyway?

Wow, so many Shenkuu people here, including me!

I read somewhere that teams are not penalized by their inactive players, is this for real?

Technically, no one knows exactly how wins and losses are calculated... Neo is very tight-lipped on that, as abuse of the system would become a problem if it was known.

I'm amazed at some of your guys' and gals' GPG. I'm at 7.6 and dang proud. I've never managed a 14pt game because Darigan and Faerie Yooyus confound me to no end.

GO LD!

Another Shenkuu supporter here (3rd year). :D I too was shocked...SHOCKED!! that we lost to KL yesterday. I'm hoping it's just a glitch, and/or the influx of newbies hoping to ride to a win. I know we can do it this year!

Prior to last year, I couldn't play YYB to save my life. I actually got pretty decent at it, and it's coming back to me now. I haven't managed better than 13-0 yet this year, but I think that'll improve. So far, I'm still only a GPG ratio of 8.86. I do pretty well with all the YYB except mutant...you never know what you are going to get. :P Darigan are easy...just aim opposite of what you normally would. And faerie are hard, but if you get the 2x2 formation and can go straight down the middle and shoot, it'll usually go in. It just takes some practice. :)

SHENKUU FOR THE WIN THIS YEAR!!!

Kreludor or Brightvale will win. Currently they are the only ones with all wins.

Man, Brightvale's doing pretty sweet right now.

Faerie is super easy if the team you're against is in 2+2 formation- Just run straight ahead. c: If they are 3+1/1+3, well, I just move around them then stay face-to-face with the goalie, then aim behind them.

Darigan is much more varied from what I've seen. people have developed different aiming strategies. Since I was out of practice I just quickly went over a guide to get an idea of how to do it and then came up with a good aiming strategy.

I can score 14-0 now, even 15-0 if I wanted to (though there are errors with sending that score, so I just grab the ball, run around, and wait for time to run out) :B

Brightvale and Altador sweep a team each and all of a sudden they're in the running for first...?
I'm not bitter; I don't ever remember AT or BV getting a sweep before, and I'm beyond proud of them. But that's not how it works.

I like how varied and unpredictable this year's Cup is. If we were all out of school, it'd be LD, SK, KI, and DC dominating as usual...boring.

While the variability has been interesting, I do not want DC to slack off and get stuck in a low bracket. This is the fifth Cup. If there's ever a time for a repeat, I think this can be the year! (plus, I didn't play in the second Cup, not realizing there would be another, so I missed out on DC's first championship)

You have no idea - how surprising that sweep was for us :P , especially considering how many Yooyuball maxers we had that day... This year, isn't going to be like we expected.

It's nice to mix things up, but I don't know, I'm not too thrilled about the calculating system - from what it seems like, it might favor All-Star players hijacking small team to steamroll everyone else - making it very hard for popular teams to throw up a fight... But of course, who knows what's actually going in TNT's algorithm. It's all mere speculation, but with people able to peek at trophy scores this year maybe it'll start becoming a bit more clearer on how it all works.

There's a DC board with quite a few players (about 50-60) who are throwing down 50-100 Yooyuball wins and/or 100s of side game scores everyday to bring Darigan to the top tier, you should join us and roll through some games with us. ;)
