Even with their standings, 5 Shenkuu players hold a spot in the top 50 scoreboard (See: http://www.neopets.com/~immortalspirit )

thats an interesting site thanks for that, but the prob with that is there r very few KD players (in fact i think only one) anywhere on that list and they we're 2nd in the tourny kinda brings the expression theres no i in team to the forefront of the mind doesnt it?

speaking of KD how do y'all think they'll do next year since they came in 2nd will the be 2nd place cursed or 2nd to 1st pattern?

I don't think LD will drop very much, if at all. They broke the 2nd to 1st curse, why not the winner's curse?

From what I've heard, there was a lot of tension within LD this year. I expect to see a lot of their All-Stars leave. That, and they're guaranteed freeloaders, being the winning team and all. :/ They'll probably fall to 7th or 8th, like KI and DC.

To be honest, I don't expect to see ANY of this year's top-three in the top tier next year. I expect KD to be the next "strong" team that bombs, like RI and MD in ACIV and my own team this year. Like LD, they're guaranteed freeloaders, and KD is a much smaller team than SK, so it's not going to take nearly as much freeloaders to kill them. Unless elite All-Star group SOTAC joins them, I don't see them in the top tier. And DC... I heard a lot of their All-Stars are retiring next year, plus they'll get freeloaders, although probably not as much as LD or KD. I think they'll be in the high 2nd tier next year.

I have a feeling that next year's winner will be either MQ, MD, or SK. I'm kind of leaning toward MQ, though.

Maraqua had the best Yooyuball record this year- I'm really thinking that they can pull off top four next time around.

As far as freeloaders go, I definitely see that they'll be more scattered now with the second-to-first broken. Heck, there are much much more candidates for top tier now, so many more choices. I definitely see Lost Desert's performance about to fall, though.

I really believe Shenkuu will improve next year- and hopefully Moltara? :B

As for Krawk Island, well, Dasher's leaving FOR REAL (he's definitely retiring now, outta excuses sorry.) And apparently he sort of keeps many dedicated players attached to the team. D: So I kinda sense that they'll fall down more

Unless both Ol' Dash and Good Ealyn retire and in addition to Dinksy we have a super magical epic Soley Jr. who ummm didn't participate AC V when Dinksy got injured because he was still a year under the hypothetical age requirement and- OKAY I JUST REALLY WANT TO SEE A SOLEY JR. ;-;

Idriya, you're much more plugged into that stuff than I am, so maybe you can explain - what kind of "tension" can possibly exist between teammates in a game-within-a-game? If you're right, how silly.

i really do not know if i will ever play again given the low amount of prize points this year. despite getting to rank 8 i am getting a little bored with it i may go back to shenkuu but i am not positive about playing again.

i am really hoping for moltara to rise. they got last place last year, so i hope they rank a little bit higher.

Very interesting. I occasionally posted my scores on boards, but I'm not sure if it was SANDY or SOLID. I do remember looking at the SOTAC board and immediately disliking the vibe. But as the Krawk Island player said, they had the same problems last year. Sounds like it's just a bunch of prima donnas looking to cause drama for its own sake.

And like I said on there, I don't recall any problems with SOTAC. I know we had some drama among the regular SK players, but I don't think we actually fought with SOTAC. :/ I know they don't like us, though, because they see us as a bunch of drama queens, pretty much.

Not long after the Cup, I was having a conversation with other SK people, and one of them brought up a good point after I jokingly posted, "Who will win ACVI? That depends. Who's SOTAC joining?" Give it a few years, and SOTAC won't even matter, especially if the team they join keeps winning. This year has proven that freeloaders have gotten smarter (sadly, at my own team's expense), and eventually, they'll just follow SOTAC. Since TNT made it possible to look up what team people joined, all they'd have to do is use that link on a SOTAC member. They'll have to break up if that happens.
