I made a new userlookup, and it looks fine in Firefox, but in IE the user info doesn't stay in it's scrollbox :angry:

What am I doing wrong? D:

<h1>Salutations!</h1>
Hello there ^o^. I'm BlueCloud300, but you can call me Cloud. I enjoy writing poetry and stories, anime and manga, web design, and drawing, especially my comics for the Neopian Times.

We currently live in Shenkuu, in a rather modest estate. It's wonderful to be surrounded by Nature, from the awe inspiring Shenkuu mountains to the peaceful bamboo forests. You're welcome to come and visit ^o^.

Even though I call them "pets," I don't really consider myself to be their owner; they are more like family members, and are very precious to me. Ami and Anveda will never be up for trade or adoption ^o^.

I think #content {margin-left: 18px; margin-top: -491px; width: 772px; height: 390px; overflow: auto;} should be changed to: #content {margin-left: 18px; margin-top: -491px; width: 772px; height: 390px; max-width: 772px; max-height: 390px; overflow: auto;}. Max-width tells the browser that the div cannot be wider than the specified width (so does max-height for the height). Similarly, min-width/min-height means the div must be that wide/high, no less. At least I think that's your problem :x.

To the styles, add:

#p2 {overflow: auto;}

IE has very strange behaviour scroll-wise. If the overflow is left unspecified, the box's content will automatically flow out of it. Setting the overflow to auto creates the nice scrollbar.

@Spherical Ice: There's really no need to set min/max height if their is already exact dimensions specified. I like to stay away from min/max height unless I need to use it as a browser hack.

Unfortunately
#p2 {overflow: auto;}
didn't help :( It looks the same in IE as it did before I added it in.

Sill needing help D:

Well Chev I was using it as a browser hack, seeing as it doesn't work in IE. Could you provide screenshots?

I'm very doubtful that it's going to work in IE. If you can find an example of a working lookup that has its contents contained entirely in a scrolling div, and it works in IE too, post it here and I can see how they did it.

My last post isn't going to help anyone at all, sorry about that. *feels dumb*
Here's a page that might help you- http://edskes.net/ie...dingboxbugs.htm

Another thing I noticed- .content has a vertical scrollbar in IE. I'll bet it's related to our problem.
