Today, while getting to my dailies, I came across an email from them. Hopeful for a Pirate Paintbrush wish come true, I opened my mailbox to see that the message had to do with the current plot/event. It went on to saying that a chest wasn't given to me, so they were giving me one, but at the bottom it read:
"Sorry for the mishap, and thanks for lending Gavril a hand! Although, doesn't he seem a bit... nah! Never mind."
I smell a plot/event hint. Thoughts?

There must be a lot more plot content than we were expecting. I thought it was kind of weird there were no comics yet.

It can be a transition into a editorial, lets not go down that road Dave, every did on the neoboards.

It isn't a plot, TNT is just making it so they reach there minimum of cash for the day XP

Well, TNT wouldn't directly say it was a plot - we all know how sneaky they are ;) I bet our friends at JN know more than we do - I bet Dave is scheming something.

Nope. We don't.
And this is a scheme to get your money since they basically say "hey you can discard it if you don't want it, but we are trying to be fair"
the whole Gavril thing is just messing with users. TNT has to have some way of having fun during the day

It was frustrating to read the e-mail not only because TNT wanted to draw our attention to the fact that we can spend money on the chests, but the fact that they added in that bit more of characterization saying Gavril was turning 'evil' frustrated me, since they didn't act upon it. On the one hand, you could suggest that he was just becoming self-centered and Gavril's character was channeling the message that 'absolute power corrupts'. But if that were the case Neo should have told us?
Something that always frustrated me with Neo's plots is that they always leave them open-ended without returning to them. I understand the cliffhanger endings in TV Series and Books because it makes you want to come back and finish them. The only way that Neo has ever capitalized upon that was during the 'Meridellian Years' where by the end everyone was so fed up with the Medieval theme the mere thought of going Berry Picking made me nauseous. I'm going to reserve judgement for when Scurvy Island opens up, if they return to Gavril's character development or not, but I hope they realize there is really nothing wrong with tying up all the loose ends of a story they're not sure if they'll continue.
And that is my rant =)
