The current prevailing theory is that you need 50 unique Usuki items in your inventory. I'd say it's probably right, too.

50 unique items is correct for most people, including me. Some people had to get more, though...

just a note, for some languages, the item name does not have usuki in it ;P
which has caused some to not get the avatar at first.

Whoo, got tha avy yesterday, luckily, I already had 30+ Usuki items, so it was easy getting the others. Glad they finally put Usukis to use. And I was too lazy to wait in a super long line on the neoboards. So yay, another avy to lend in case anyone needs it.

50 Unique Usuki items have to be in your inventory, for some people it's 50 or more.

Does it just show up on the bottom? I've got 50 - 55 items and I'm still not getting it. I feel rather stupid.

Mine didn't show up for me I don't think. I think it just appeared in my preferences thing. Make sure you have NO doubles of things adding to how many usukis you have. I had 58 items and like 10 were doubles of items so just double check to be sure.

So the description shouldn't be "50 unique Usuki items" because it's only approximate...
I keep waiting for my avatar and I have 53 Usuki items (I supposed I have to buy more).
